A slower way to experience Mexican textile tradition. Join a private embroidery session!

Contemporary stitching class rooted in Mexican textile tradition.

Limited private bookings available.

This is not a pre-recorded course.
It is a live, intentional creative session designed to help you stitch with confidence and cultural connection.

Hey, I'm Nat

I founded Lanna Ha in 2016 with the intention of creating spaces that feel honest, collected, and deeply connected to Mexican textile tradition.

Since then, my relationship with embroidery has transformed completely.

These private sessions are an extension of that vision.

More than teaching stitches, I want to share the way I approach embroidery: slowly, intuitively, and with attention to composition, movement, and storytelling through textile.

Each session is taught live and personally by me through Zoom, creating space not only to learn technique, but to reconnect with making something by hand.

Sessions are available in both English or Spanish, creating space for a more natural and personal learning experience regardless of where you’re joining from.

“I never imagined embroidery could feel this grounding. Nat teaches with so much calm and clarity that the session felt more like entering a creative ritual than taking a class.”

Edward Maxwell

"Definitivamente parece complicado entender la armonía de este bordado pero Nat lo hizo tan fácil de digerir que no he parado de bordar."

Daniela Nieto

“What I loved most was understanding the cultural roots behind every stitch. This wasn’t just about technique. It changed the way I see handmade textiles in my home.”

Dianne T.

CALIFORNIA, USA

“I joined as a complete beginner and left with my first Otomi piece finished. The private format made the experience feel personal, intentional and deeply inspiring.”

Don't worry, I got you. Here are some answers for your QUESTIONS.

Not at all. These private sessions are designed for both beginners and creatives who want to explore Otomí embroidery through a slower, more intentional process.

It’s important to work with natural fibers such as cotton or linen. These fabrics allow the needle and thread to move more naturally and make the embroidery process much easier to learn.

I do not recommend thick or heavy fabrics like velvet, plush textiles, or overly synthetic materials, as they can make stitching unnecessarily difficult during the session.

A simple cotton or linen fabric works beautifully.

Each session includes:

  • a 2 hrs. live private Meet ZOOM class,

  • embroidery guidance,

  • PDF patterns sent to your email right after your check out.

  • and a material list sent beforehand. With the list you´ll see a Transfering Guide as well in case you want to transfer your image on your own and focus the session on the embroidery. Otherwise, we can spend some time of your session to let you know how to transfer the image into your fabric.

Yes. Sessions are available in both English and Spanish depending on your preference.

That’s completely okay. The goal of the session is to understand the process, rhythm, and foundations of Otomí embroidery — not perfection. You’ll leave with the knowledge and guidance needed to continue stitching at your own pace afterward.

This is a live private 1:1 Zoom session with Nat Boone. You’ll stitch together in real time, ask questions throughout the class, and receive personal guidance during the workshop.

No. Private bookings open occasionally throughout the year and availability is intentionally limited.

My story

I didn’t grow up seeing embroidery as decoration.

In Mexico, textiles carry memory, identity, and the rhythm of the hands that made them.

Through Lanna Ha, I began translating those traditions into contemporary spaces — not as souvenirs, but as living pieces that still belong in modern life.

These private sessions are a way to share that process personally.

Not through mass tutorials or pre-recorded classes, but through conversation, technique, observation, and slow making.

You’ll learn foundational Otomí embroidery stitches while also understanding how color, composition, and textile storytelling shape the final piece.

Each session is taught live by me through Zoom and designed for people who want a more intentional creative experience.
